How much is the Gabb Phone 4 Pro?

The Gabb Phone 4 Pro costs $199.99, but you may not need to pay that price! Gabb offers specials often, and right now you can get a free accessory like a phone case with the purchase of a new device.

With your 4 Pro, you can choose from three different packages. Each offers something different. The bigger the package, the more features and cloud storage you get. Then you can add on more data. 5GB is $3.99 per month and 10GB is $9.99 per month.

You can also add on the Gabb Warranty. Here's how it stacks up to the manufacturer's warranty:

Manufacturer’s warranty

  • Free
  • Included when you buy the phone
  • Covers malfunctions and defects
  • Provided by the device manufacturer
  • Lasts for one year

Gabb Warranty

  • $4.99/month
  • Covers drops or spills
  • Provided by Gabb
  • Option to get a new device for $60 if a replacement is needed

Once you figure out the package you want and if you want to bundle on extras, you choose either a month-to-month, one-year or two-year contract plan. With month-to-month plans, expect to pay from $29.99 to $39.99. Contracts are cheaper. Two-year contracts range from $24.99 to $34.99 per month.

Thoughts from our tester
"You can decide what and who goes into the phone. You have control over that so they can't just be dialing out random numbers. If they're going out with friends, I'll add the friend's mom or dad to the contact list, just in case." —Suzi Brzezinski, SafeWise product tester and parent

Exclusive Gabb features

What makes this phone parent-approved is the exclusive apps and features. These include GabbOS, Gabb Guard™, Gabb Messenger™, and Gabb Music®. “We stand with the Surgeon General and the voices of many teens: social media is a danger to young people,” said Lance Black, Gabb Founding Partner. “Research shows that teens can lose over a year of their lives to mindless scrolling. Unlike other companies that offer social media apps, Gabb is committed to providing a safer, healthier alternative for our youth.”

Gabb Phone 3 Pro introduced Gabb Music+, which is also featured on 4 Pro. This app allows your teens to listen, download and create playlists for millions of songs but nixes explicit lyrics. These aren't generic songs that are edited to be kid-friendly. They're actual songs by your teen's favorite artists. The songs just don't include any questionable material. Plus, it's ad-free.

GabbOS is a proprietary phone operating system. It prevents internet browsers and the downloading of apps that aren't approved by the parents.

Gabb Guard™ and Gabb Messenger™ offers smart filtering for explicit content. Plus, there's robust parental control over contacts and messages.

How we reviewed Gabb Phone 4 Pro

We conducted hands-on testing of the Gabb Phone 4 Pro to test usability, web filters, and messaging alerts.

Testing a Gabb Phone. Image: SafeWise

We started our research into the best kids phones by comparing 11 models across more than 20 specifications, including:

  • Upfront and monthly costs
  • Trial or money-back period
  • Cellular network
  • Internet accessibility and web filtering
  • Message monitoring
  • App access
  • Storage capacity
  • Workaround prevention

In May 2025, we surveyed 1,000 parents. Nearly 50% told us that some or all of their children have been exposed to inappropriate content online, 29% have children who have been victims of cyberbullying, and 17% have been exposed to sexting. Based on these results, we also prioritized message monitoring, web filtering, and optional internet access when comparing kids phones.

Gabb Phone FAQ

Yes, Gabb Wireless has a kid-friendly music streaming service called Gabb Music+. It is available on a Gabb phone 4 or 4 pro with an Advanced Plan.

We found Gabb Phone 4 Pro to be the most user friendly kids smartphone. Most kids phones have their own cellular networks (like Gabb), but some are compatible with major carriers. Gabb is pretty affordable compared to other kids phones because they offer discounted rates for multi-line monthly plans.

The safest phone for a 10-year-old is one without a default internet browser with plenty of built-in protections. The Gabb phone 4 (not the pro version), is a safe option for a 10-year-old because it has no internet access or social media apps. It also has smart message filtration, GPS tracking and parent-enabled apps. If you want to try a kids smartwatch first, check out the Gabb Watch 3e.

Both phone models keep kids safe no internet browsers or social media apps. The main difference between these two models is the Gabb Phone 4 is a basic model, meant as a first smartphone for younger ages (9-13). Gabb Phone 4 Pro is meant for older teens (ages 14-18), with more advanced features like parent-enabled third-party apps, and also has a more powerful camera, a larger screen with higher resolution, and a larger battery.

Why we recommend Gabb Phone 4 Pro for teens

“We want teens to be less reliant on screens,” said Nate Randle, Gabb CEO, “We want teens to use this new phone as a safer way to connect with family and friends. Then we want them to put it down and build their very best selves through time spent away from their phones. This is always the goal for each of our products.”

The Gabb Phone 4 Pro is an excellent choice for limiting your teen's phone use and keeping them safe from the problems that come with being online. We highly recommend this phone if you want to keep your teen off of the internet while still allowing them to listen to music, take photos, message friends and use safe apps.

We especially like these features:

  • User-friendly design
  • Parent-vetted apps
  • GPS tracking
  • Quality display and camera
