Lindo Spotlight Camera overview

The Lindo Spotlight Camera is packed with proactive features designed to deter criminals before they run off with your package or break into your home. The camera provides a wide 166-degree view and can detect motion up to 30 feet away—ideal for spotting porch pirates and other interlopers before they can do their dastardly deeds. The video quality is crisp and clear (even in low-light conditions) and allows for detailed, real-time zooming up to 4x through the Lindo Life App. The camera delivers speedy motion notifications, usually within two to three seconds.

One noteworthy feature is the built-in 10,000mAh rechargeable lithium battery—touting up to a year of usage on a single charge. But you should note that usage time will vary depending on power settings (Power Saving, Default Power, Security Recording, or Customized Recording via subscription service), LED spotlight brightness, and chosen detection mode.

It wasn't easy to spot the downsides of this camera, but that's partly due to how new it is. Released on November 27, 2023, the Lindo Spotlight Camera still needs to be put through its paces over a longer period of time. Until we learn more from our in-home testing, the only real issues we've found are a reset button that a thief could use to put the camera offline and a few advanced features held behind a paywall.

Lindo Intelligent Spotlight Camera features

The Lindo Spotlight Camera boasts a powerful combination of features designed to provide comprehensive security coverage for your home.

Powerful siren and visual alarm: Lindo ensures that intruders won't stand a chance with a blinding (we're not kidding—it's super-bright!) flashing 600-lumen spotlight and a piercing 120dB alarm. This camera is not just about monitoring; it's about deterring and sending intruders running.

Extended 30-foot detection range: This camera provides early warnings that are key to prevention, thanks to a 30-foot detection radius from every angle. You can secure a larger property effectively with four to six Lindo spotlight cameras.

Impressive battery capacity: Thanks to Lindo's custom-built power management algorithm, you can enjoy an extended battery life of up to one year. Say goodbye to monthly ladder climbs for recharging.

IP67 waterproof: Lindo's IP67-rated cameras should withstand heavy rain and extreme conditions—preventing fogging and moisture build-up.

Works with Alexa: Lindo offers hands-free convenience through voice control with Amazon Alexa, plus potential integration with other smart home and security devices.

Lindo Life app

The Lindo Life App (available for iOS and Android) offers a straightforward installation process and user-friendly setup that lets you tailor your camera experience. You can easily customize multiple camera settings, such as adjusting spotlight brightness, selecting detection modes (all or human only), tuning detection sensitivity (distance coverage), turning the microphone on or off, and utilizing the two-way audio functionality.

But be aware that some customizations are only available with the Lindo Security Plus Plan subscription. These premium offerings include configuring activity zones, enabling pet and vehicle detection, extending event storage beyond three days, prolonging video clip duration, and receiving enhanced notifications.

First impressions of the Lindo Spotlight Camera

Our initial impressions of the Lindo Intelligent Spotlight Camera were highly positive. The camera's sleek design and ease of setup left us impressed. It has advanced features like pet and vehicle detection, allowing you to customize alerts for various event types. The 600-lumen spotlight and clear voice/sound quality contribute to a sense of security.

And the spotlight and siren did not disappoint. The 600-lumen light is ridiculously bright, and the siren was more impressive than some we've heard on actual home security systems. We also like the 4x zoom, but there is some minor distortion when fully zoomed in; however, you should still be able to capture details like license plates and facial features.

A unique feature that caught our attention was the feedback message pop-up we saw when taking screenshots. We've seen several user reviews that mention how responsive Lindo is to user feedback, and this added layer of user interaction verified the company's commitment to hearing what its customers think.

How to buy the Lindo Spotlight Camera

The Lindo Intelligent Spotlight Camera is available on Amazon and priced at $179.99 for a 2-pack, making it an affordable option for enhancing your home security. And this camera works inside or outside your home, so you can get extra security everywhere for under $200, which isn't bad.

Plus, you can save $20 when you use the code "LINDOCAM".
