To cancel SimpliSafe, call the SimpliSafe customer service line at +1-888-783-8441. Their support team is available every day of the year between 8 a.m. and midnight (EST). Have your safeword at the ready to confirm you own the security system.

Can I cancel SimpliSafe online?

No, you have to call to cancel by calling customer service at 1-888-783-8441. You can upgrade your SimpliSafe account online, but you can't downgrade or cancel it online.

Is SimpliSafe easy to cancel?

Do I need to return my SimpliSafe equipment after canceling my monitoring plan?

No, the SimpliSafe security system is yours to keep. 

In fact, SimpliSafe equipment works as a basic home alarm without any monitoring service. If someone breaks in while the system is armed, the base station siren will sound, which might be enough to scare them off and alert the neighbors. 

That’s a big "might," though, which is why we recommend professional monitoring whenever possible.

Can I restart my SimpliSafe plan at a later date?

Yes, SimpliSafe lets you start and stop services at any time. If you want to restart or upgrade, you can do so through the SimpliSafe home security app. Call customer service if you want to pause or downgrade.

Yes, you can transfer your SimpliSafe system. First, call SimpliSafe to cancel. Then, the new equipment owner can create a SimpliSafe account and activate a monitoring plan with that equipment.

I live in the UK. How do I end my SimpliSafe contract?

SimpliSafe UK customers should call 0800-920-2420 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to end the contract. Note that SimpliSafe's UK cancellation department is closed on the weekends even though the main customer service line does maintain weekend hours.
