It's important to note that to qualify with Fluent, you will be subject to a credit check.
But Fluent doesn't leave you completely in the dark—Fluent's service plans start at $29.99 per month. However, the monthly cost may vary depending on factors like the number of security cameras you decide to incorporate into your system.
We like that Fluent won't hit you with extra charges for activation or installation. Plus, they offer a 30-day window from the installation date to ensure you're satisfied with your system. It's important to note that if you decide to cancel after this period, you could be liable for 80% of the contract term. But here's an alternative: you can bypass a contract altogether by purchasing your equipment upfront, giving you even more flexibility in choosing your home security solution.

Fluent contracts and warranties
Most Fluent security systems come with a contract that may last up to 60 months. The exact terms and monthly fee for your system will be included as part of your custom quote. If you want to skip a contract, Fluent told us that you can pay for your equipment upfront, but we didn't get an average cost to do that. If you're interested in this option, make sure to let the Fluent representative you talk to know.
Trial period and cancellation
Upon approval, you could get a 30-day trial period to take your Fluent security system for a test drive. If you cancel during that 30-day window, you won't be tied into the contract. If you cancel after the trial period, you'll be on the hook for 80% of the remaining contract. For those who don't qualify for the 30-day trial, you only have three days to cancel before you're tied into the contract period.
Warranty
Every Fluent system comes with a standard 90-day warranty and there's no extended warranty available to purchase. The good news is a warranty isn't going to cost you extra with Fluent, but the length of the warranty is shorter than most other security systems we review, which range from 12 months to the full term of the contract.
Fluent indicated that there is warranty coverage throughout the contract period, but it looks like that may only cover normal wear and tear on equipment that Fluent installed. The cost for a technician visit is your responsibility after the 90-day standard warranty period.
